Meet the Board

Ms. Nixon currently serves as Site Coordinator of the Texas 21st Century Community Learning Center in the Birdville Independent School District. 

Her career spans over 20 years throughout the fields of criminal justice, human services and education.  She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University in 2006 and later acquired her Master of Arts degree in Human Services from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. 

Throughout her service in these career fields, Ms. Nixon became increasingly aware of the lack of services and programs available to at-risk individuals and families in various parts of the state.  With a vision to make an impact, Progressive I.M.P.a.C.C.C.T, Incorporated was founded.

Ms. Nixon is the proud mother of three children, Ammiel, A’yana and Adonai'a.

Dr. Valerie C. Agee is a resident of Round Rock, Texas and serves as the Vice President for Progressive IMPaCCCT, Inc. Her passion for making a difference in the lives of others, and becoming an effective and ethical advocate for social and economic injustice, has driven Dr. Agee to spent more than 33 years in the Human Service field. She acquired this experience through working in various agencies, such as Texas Department of State Health Services, Department of Aging and Disability Services, Health and

Human Services, Child Protective Services and the Austin State Hospital. Continuing her love for social service, Dr. Agee’s last position was with the Center for Health Empowerment, a non-profit Sexual Health and Wellness Center, where she served as the Director of Operation. In this position she ensured those affected by HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted disease received appropriate care, treatment, and service. Dr. Agee is selfless and continues to be a change agent that opens doors to unlimited opportunities for children, and families affected by abuse, homelessness, incarceration, man-made and natural disasters and critical illness. Dr. Agee holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, a Masters of Science in Criminal Justice, Masters of Science in Human Services, and a Doctorate degree in Human Service with a focus of Social and Community Counseling.  When she is not serving her community, she enjoys spending time with her beautiful daughter Errin and

adorable 7yr grand-daughter, Bailee Rae.

Dr. Stephanie Johnson serves as the Assistant Superintendent with the Oakwood Independent School District in Oakwood, Texas.  She began her career at Westwood Junior High School in 2001 as a 7th and 8th grade Science teacher and coach.  Dr. Johnson was raised in Groveton, Texas and attended school in the Groveton Independent School District.  She earned her undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Tyler in 2001.  She later acquired her Master’s degree in 2013.  In 2017, she obtained her Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin State University

Dr. Johnson is married to Jonathan (J.J.) Johnson and they have two children, Jalla and Jayson.  In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family.  

Mrs. Mitchell is a dedicated and focused individual who excels in prioritizing, completing multiple task simultaneously and following through to achieve project goals.  She has over twenty years of experience in customer service, management and volunteer work.   Her strong interpersonal skills and meticulous attention to detail provided her with great success in the banking industry.  She received many awards and recognition working as a Branch Supervisor, First Convenience Bank.  There she was afforded the opportunity to dine with the President, Regional Director and District Manager of the company to discuss ideas and improvements of service.  She has a passion for helping others reach their greatest potential.  She is the Founder and President of Sickle Cell Awareness Support Group of Anderson County and Surrounding Areas established in 2016.  Born with Sickle Cell Disease, she strongly advocates with a mission to give hope and teach a positive healthy way of living with SC.  She has two Associate Degrees from Trinity Valley Community College in Psychology and Business Administration.  She is married to Steven Mitchell; together they have two children Anondria and Christopher, step child Alexis Mitchell and after the loss of her sister she, is now raising her nieces Dari’elle Wiltz and Dylann Washington.   She is currently employed with Department of Family and Protective Services CPS Investigations.
